THE MINISTRY’S VISIT TO ORPHANAGE

In the spirit of the season, the Ministry of Special Duties, (Oil and Gas) has made donation of bags of rice to orphanage and home of disadvantaged persons.

The beneficiaries are Oronsaye Orphanage and Faith House Christian Community.

Presenting the bags of rice to the respective beneficiaries, the commissioner For Special Duties, Oil and Gas, Engr. Jackson Eribo explained that the gesture was geared towards putting a smile on the faces of the children whose status of being underprivileged is not their own making.

The Commissioner who was represented by the acting Permanent Secretary,Mrs I. Irabor further enjoined all to show love and care for the needy in our environment and the society at large, stressing that such gesture would spare them the consequences of a bleak future that is often the inevitable result.

In their respective responses, the Matron of Oronsaye Orphanage, Mrs. Kate Oronsaye and one of the workers in Faith House Christian Community, expressed appreciation to the Commissioner and the entire management and staff of the ministry for their assistance towards the upkeep of the less-privileged and sued for it to be sustained.

The acting Permanent Secretary was accompanied by the Director of Finance and Accounts, Mr.Osa Edison Obamwonyi and Blessing Iluobe.

The representative of Faith House Christian Community later handed us a card bearing the words or St. Ambrose. It says”Thank you . The beauty of riches is not in the purse of the rich but in the support of the poor. In the poor, riches shine brighter. The card also says”Thank you for considering the poor and the needy of Faith House. May God grant you and your family abundant grace. Amen.
